A charming cabin nester for garden robins and other small birds. Developed by TV naturalist and wildlife cameraman Simon King OBE. His lifetime's knowledge of filming and observation of nesting birds has informed the design.
This nesting cabin is suitable for many small wild bird species such as robins, wrens and flycatchers who prefer an open style nesting site that's concealed from predators. In addition to nesting, the cabin can be used for shelter from harsh weather, allowing small birds to find cover and save their essential body fat which aids their survival.
A metal frame gives the cabin nester strength and the roof has a cosy liner. The rattan landing platform & low wall provides the divide between the entrance and roosting or nesting space.
Siting: Made from sustainable brushwood the cabin nester is lightweight and it can easily be wired into a hedge, ivy or attached to a wall. Fix using the spare loop of fixing wire supplied.
